Ripcord Designs is an electronic product development consultancy based in Hertfordshire, UK.
We specialize in helping other companies take their product ideas from concept to reality. We are equally at home taking on the entire design or helping overcome a single technical challenge.
Our team has decades of experience designing high tech electronic products and software solutions for some of the most demanding applications imaginable, from medical devices to Formula One racing. Over the years we have also built up a network of trusted partners including contract manufacturers and specialist consulting engineers, enabling us to provide a wide range of services to our clients.

ADAM TONER
Managing Director
Adam has been designing embedded products for over 25 years. He has worked in both the UK and USA for companies such as Formula One Management, Panasonic and L3 Communications, and designed products including smart heating controls, medical devices, television cameras and wireless video, audio and data systems.
Before founding Ripcord Designs, Adam was responsible for setting up a new broadcast products business for L3 Communications, where he held the position of Director of Engineering. Learn more about Adam's work and background on his Linked-In profile.
CHRISTA BOREN
Operations MAnAger & Accounts
Christa has a background in retail sales, international mobility and international higher education. She was Assistant Director of the International Office at the University of Baltimore, before moving to the UK. There her experience included global mobility for staff, faculty and students. Christa was an adjunct faculty member at the university and has experience teaching Multi-cultural Awareness and working with the MBA programs Cross Cultural Communications workshops.

RIPCORD DESIGNS SPONSORS HERTFORDSHIRE TECH MEETUP GROUP
Ripcord Designs is based in Hertfordshire and in the summer of 2018, we founded the Herts Tech meetup group to help connect the local tech community. Less than 6 months later we have over 200 members and have held several fantastic meetups.
