We are glad to say the Herts Tech Meetup is doing well and growing. The group has held 5 meetups in St Albans and another one is planned for next week on January 17th. This time we have a guest host and will be meeting in Hemel Hempstead. After just 5 months we have over 180 members and new members joining each month. If you are a Hertfordshire based tech company, engineer or techie join us for an event soon. Also, we are always looking for guest hosts. So if you have a tech company in Hertfordshire and would like to guest host the event one month in your town please get in touch.

Hertfordshire is a great place to have a business, especially a tech business. We are close to London with its vibrant start up scene and a short drive from Cambridge. Even though there are numerous software, hardware and other technology focussed companies in Hertfordshire the tech community is not as connected as it is in other places. With that in mind we have been looking for a tech networking group in the area for some time. A few months ago we were so pleased to see someone start a tech focused Meetup group right in St Albans.

Now Ripcord Designs is the sponsor and host of the group, Hertfordshire Tech Meetup. We hope anyone interested in building the tech community in Hertfordshire will come and join us for a relaxed, informal meetup and talk a bit about tech. The event is an informal drop-in, so come by to chat about coding, development, electronics, robotics, or your tech topic of choice. The group will meet on the third Thursday of each month in St Albans from 6-8 pm. The first meeting on July 19th will be held at the Craft and Cleaver.
